I guess you all already noticed that we use now the voting-system for #PhotoForA.
We want that your deviations become famous, but if everyone upload their whole galleries this is impossible. So we started to vote on your submissions for a few weeks now.
I realized that we never said why your submission might get declined, that's why I decided to write this blog entry.
We would like to see:
1. interesting compositions
2. great colour ideas
3. knowledge of how to use lightning and exposure
4. unusal concepts
We do not like that much:
1. under- or overexposure (if it isn't part of your concept)
2. noise that wasn't add on purpose (noise are pixels in your image that are results of the wrong lightning, they are green, red and blue... there's a difference to grain which is most of the time wanted... grain is often seen in b/w photos and adds an old/vintage feeling)
All of these parts are evaluated by the admin-team. I have to add that the judgment is subjective, but since we are more than one person we try to make the voting fair.
Members are allowed to upload 3 deviations per folder per week. They are not allowed to submit into the Featured folder.
I hope this little entry helps you when you submit next time.
We await your creations!
Best Regards
your #PhotoForA-team
